From Corran the most dificult and inaccessible part of the whole of the Scottish Coastal Path lies ahead. Steep mountain trails lead through glens and hug the sides of the lochs to reach firstly Kinloch Hourne, and then from there to Barrisdale Bay.

From Barrisdale a steep path takes you over the bealach down to Inverie.

There is a ferry service that can take a handful of people directly across Loch Hourn to Barrisdale Bay from Arnisdale.
